Get skills training and financial support when you qualify for Better Jobs Ontario (formerly Second Career).

Unemployed? Changing Careers? Need Retraining?

If you have been recently laid off, you may qualify for Better Jobs Ontario, an Ontario government program designed to subsidize the cost of tuition and living expenses.


Come back to school. Obtain a certificate or diploma.

Before you begin your Better Jobs Ontario application, please visit an Employment Ontario Office nearby, where staff are trained to:

  • help you decide if this program is right for you
  • help you to complete your application

To find an Employment Ontario provider to assist you with your BJO application, please access the Find an Employment and Training Service (FEATS) website where you can search for a service provider who will be able to assist you.
